What makes a "life"? We're born. We have some set of experiences. We die. "Along the way" we meet countless others, each with their own experiences. Many ordinary, many extraodinary.
Our lives are like threads woven into a cloth. Sometimes there are cuts in that fabric: health fails, friends and loved-ones are taken from us. Sometimes the threads are mundane and repeating. Other times there is a special pattern in that fabric: an especially memorable one that is worth sharing.
Our interactions with others' "cloths" weave a a tapestry of infinite complexity. There are parts of great beauty and significant ugliness. Each person has their own idea of what it means to have a "life well lived" and what constitues life's special moments.
