Dive Report |
| Witty Summary: | Restaurant prices requiring bank loans, English "cuisine" ("I love SPAM, I'll have 'is SPAM!" Pass the bangers and mash, pleaze), fabulous diving, and the usual, wonderful group of dive buddies. |
| When: | September, 2001 |
| Where is it? | Caribbean Ocean, Cayman Islands |
| Buddies: | Kathy Hornbach and the various Groupworthy |
| Operator: | Aggressor Fleet, Cayman Aggressor |
| Season/WX: | Semi-tropical, highs 80s, lows high 70s, humid. |
| Water: | Consistently 84 degrees |
| Memorable: | The diving is just fabulous, hard to recount in retrospect what was memorable — outside the group. Charlie Stewart buddied with a gym-and-housewatching-friend of his; quiet and reserved at first he came out eventually and seemed to enjoy himself. |
| Notes: |
After a half dozen wonderful SCUBA trips, with 2 dozen wonderful SCUBA buddies, it gets a little hard to differentiate one from another. Talk about the weather? It was great. The diving, um, great. The Crew? Great. This was my first liveaboard not on a Peter Hughes boat (It was the Cayman Aggressor). There are things I liked better, and things I liked less. All in all, I guess no strong preference. The Caymans are a little developed for my (Scott's) taste. Prices on shore were high, food (not surprisingly) had a British-ness too it. And then there were the football (Soccer) fans in our luncheon restaurant. Off shore, on the boat, "no worries, Mate". |
See you next time (Bahamas, September 2002)!
